Privacy Policy

IELTS Ready ("we", "our", or "us") operates an IELTS Academic practice platform for students and coaching centers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our website and services.

IELTS Ready is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IELTS, British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English. Practice scores are for preparation and teacher feedback, not official exam results.

• Account data: name, email, password (hashed), role, and optional center membership
• Practice data: answers, submissions, scores, history, and Writing/Speaking review notes
• Speaking audio: microphone recordings you make during Speaking practice (stored for review / AI feedback)
• Billing data: plan, credits, and payment references (card payments via Lemon Squeezy; bKash TrxIDs for manual verification). We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data: IP address, browser/device details, and security logs needed to operate the service

If you request AI feedback as an independent student, we send your essay text and/or Speaking transcript (and related prompts) to our AI provider (currently Google Gemini and/or OpenAI, depending on configuration) to generate an estimated band and criteria feedback.

• AI scores are practice estimates only — not official IELTS scores.
• Center-enrolled students normally receive instructor review instead of platform AI evaluation.
• Provider terms and retention rules apply in addition to this policy. Do not submit sensitive personal data you do not want processed by these providers.

• Provide practice tests, scoring, history, and center tools
• Authenticate accounts and protect the platform
• Process subscriptions, credit packs, and payment verification
• Send transactional email (verify, reset, billing, onboarding)
• Improve reliability and prevent abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

Application data is stored in our PostgreSQL database (hosted by our database provider). Media such as diagrams and Speaking audio may be stored on Cloudflare R2 or compatible object storage. Exact regions depend on our hosting configuration.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication and essential session features. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic and product usage. Analytics scripts load only after you accept via the cookie banner; you can decline and continue using the site. Essential auth cookies are not optional for signed-in features.

We use third parties to operate the platform, including:

• Authentication (e.g. Google OAuth)
• Payments (Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record for cards; bKash for BD manual flows)
• Email delivery (e.g. Resend)
• AI evaluation providers (e.g. Google / OpenAI)
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4, only with consent)
• Error monitoring (Sentry)
• Hosting and media storage (e.g. Vercel, Neon, Cloudflare R2)

We do not sell your personal data.

We use industry-standard safeguards (hashed passwords, access controls, HTTPS). We retain account and practice data while your account is active. Free independent students may have a limited history window. You may request account deletion via support@ieltsready.org.

Depending on your location (including GDPR / UK GDPR / India DPDP where applicable), you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you should use the platform only with a parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date on this page.
